At SS we believe in 100% customer satisfaction and selling the best to our clients. We believe a jewel represents the most precious moments of a person's life, that's why every piece is hallmarked and certified. While you invest your quality and precious time for the proper selection of jewellery, a little time and care can preserve its beauty and ensure its long life. By following some simple tips, your jewellery can be preserved for generations without losing its luster.
• Jewellery loses its glitter and beauty by the accumulation of dirt due to neglect after wearing an ornament, wipe it gently with a cotton cloth dabbed with lukewarm water.

• Several precious stones, especially diamonds, have an affinity to grease and so must be cleaned once a month to keep them shining.

• While dressing up, jewellery should be worn last, so that it does not come in direct contact with cosmetics perfumes and oils, especially while wearing organic gems like pearls and corals, it gets damaged easily. Therefore, make it a practice to wipe clean your jewellery before you put them away after use.

• Remove your jewellery before bathing as accumulated soap diminishes gold's color and luster.

• Most of your jewellery can be washed clean in plain water. You can use mild detergent or soap to clean stubborn dirt. There are specialized cleaning liquids available in the market like 'Jewel Clean' for gold and diamond jewellery, 'Pearl Clean' for pearls.

• You might wash away small, loosely-set stones or parts of your ornament; avoid washing your jewellery in a wash basin. In a bowl, dip the jewellery pieces for a minute and brush the pieces with a toothbrush, gently while they are in the bowl. Then with the help of a tea strainer, rinse them under warm running water. Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.

• Gold jewellery can be dipped in boiling water with a pinch of soda to renew its shine, once in a while. Oil/grease is harmful to jewellery. You can remove it by gently rubbing the surface with alcohol.

• Before going for a swim, make sure to remove all your ornaments as chlorine present in water can damage your ornaments.

• If possible, to maintain the shine, luster and life of your jewellery, get your jewellery polished every six months from a jeweler you can trust.

• Sparing little effort and time for your jewellery will maintain its sparkle and would look the same way it did when you wore it first.

• As much importance is given to cleaning, appropriate storage of your jewellery is also essential. Keep your precious pieces in a fabric lined jewel case, or a box with compartments or dividers. If you cannot separate your jewellery in your jewellery box, wrap each piece individually in tissue paper or place in small plastic pouches separately as gold pieces will rub against each other and wear off.

• Before buying your gemstone jewellery, a thorough research is very essential, mainly because it's a high-end purchase and it stays with you for a long time. Feel free to ask your jeweler about your jewellery before buying.
